About

A small Oregon firm, built for owners who want one number.

Books, returns, and planning handled together — because the reason business owners get surprised in March is that nobody owns the connection between the three.

Founder

Mike Gentry, CPA

Mike's practice centers on the work that only makes sense when someone can see the whole picture: owner compensation, distribution planning, entity structure, and the returns that fall out of all three. The technical answer comes first and the plain-English version second — in that order, and never only the second.

He founded Gentry Tax & Advisory after years of watching owner-operated businesses receive an accurate return and terrible timing. The return was never the problem. The eleven months before it were.

Licensed CPA, based in Oregon, working with clients across the United States.

Who we're a fit for.

A good fit

  • Owner-operated, roughly $1M to $10M in revenue
  • An S corporation or partnership where distributions are real money
  • You want one firm doing the books, the returns, and the planning
  • You'd rather know the number in June than in March

Probably not us

  • Pre-revenue, or under $1M
  • Shopping for the cheapest monthly bookkeeping quote
  • A single W-2 return with nothing else attached
  • You want the return filed and no conversation about it

The revenue range applies to the monthly accounting engagement. Cross-border work — expat returns, catch-up filings, foreign-founder entity setup — is scoped and priced on its own. See what that covers →
